Larkridge Family Dentistry

Practice

Our practice is based on client-centered dentistry. Our goal is to improve your dental health and overall quality of life. Each patient will receive the following care:

The Interview: You talk, we listen

We take the time to listen to your desires and concerns. We encourage open, two-way communication so we may develop a trusting relationship and meet your needs.

Information Gathering: Full examination

We thoroughly review you dental and medical histories. Many conditions that affect your body affect your dental health, and many dental infections affect your systemic conditions. Understanding the whole picture allows us to provide you with comprehensive, customized care.

Next, we take a complete set of x-rays. X-rays allow us to evaluate the hard tissues (teeth and bones) of your jaws and face.

Third, the comprehensive examinations of your extra-oral and intra-oral structures are completed by the dentist. The skin, glands, gums, bones and teeth are evaluated.

Fourth, photos, and sometimes models, of your mouth and smile will be taken.

Diagnosis and treatment planning: Analyze, inform and educate

After the dentist carefully reviews your information, a thorough diagnosis will be made. At this point you will be given information regarding the diagnosis, cause and prevention of problems, and the risk of doing nothing. We will then discuss treatment options, alternatives, risks, benefits, time commitment and cost.

Disease control phase: Moving toward health

You wouldn't want to build a custom home on a poor foundation. Similarly, a healthy foundation is needed on which to build your beautiful and functional smile. That's why we must control the disease before placement of dental restorations. This involves the treatment of cavities, gum disease and any other pathology.

Re-evaluation: Commitment phase

We use this time to reevaluate the original diagnosis and treatment plan, along with your level of participation to determine the best long term solution for you.

Reconstruction phase: Restore function and beauty

This phase involves all elective procedures and reflects your desires. We systematically restore your mouth to the maximum function and aesthetic possibilities with whitening, fillings, crowns, implants, bridges, dentures, etc. The goal is to provide you with the dentistry and skills to maintain your long-term dental health.

Maintenance: A beautiful smile isn't the end but the beginning!

Health is a work in progress. It will require oral hygiene compliance from you on a daily basis and routine visits at a time interval specific to your needs.
